Ireland Rugby League World Cup 2022 Team Squad – When we talk about the Rugby League world cup, mostly we hear about Australia, New Zealand and England. But there are thirteen other teams who are participating in Rugby League World Cup. And these teams have their own impact on the league. Today, we are going to discuss Ireland which has a strong lineup but has not been able to get its results right. 

Till 1995, Ireland never participated in any International competition. Ireland made their debut appearance at the 2000 Rugby League World cup where they finished fifth. The team repeated a similar performance at the 2008 RLWC and finished fifth. The last two editions have not gone well where the team has been knocked out in group stage.

Under the leadership of Liam Finn, Ireland is expected to pick its players. The official team will be announced by Rugby League Ireland. We will update the squad once the official announcement is made. 

Ireland Rugby League World Cup 2022 Fixtures

Ireland are part of Rugby League World Cup Group C along with Jamaica, Lebanon and New Zealand. Ireland will meet Jamaica on 16th October at Headingly Stadium, Leeds. The second round match will be between Ireland vs Lebanon at Leigh Sports Village. The final group stage match of the Rugby League World Cup will be between Ireland and New Zealand.
