However, it took a long time for New Zealand to emerge as the winning team only after clinching their maiden Rugby title in 2008 beating Australia in the finals. It is still recorded as a historic win, for team New Zealand becoming the only third team to defeat Australia.

Rugby League World Cup 2021 New Zealand Squad

Ahead of the Rugby League International Competition, New Zealand has released a World Cup squad. Michael Maguire the New Zealand coach has come up with a list of 38 players along with the top performing 62 players. Zane Tetevano of Leeds is the only Super League player to be included in the list of 100 players. Also along with Zane, another notable player Danny Levi will contest from the New Zealand side.
